Lukla
Lukla sees itself is a small yet important town of the Solukhumbu District in the Province No. 1 of north-eastern Nepal. The town is tucked at a height of 2,860 meters and holds an airport, which is what makes it popular. The place is famed for its airport welcoming the trekkers, mountaineers and the tourists heading to the Himalayas. After the development of the airstrip, the town sees itself as a small trekking town. Because of its increasing importance in the tourism industry, the town is seeing rapid expansion.
Lukla airport or the Tenzing-Hillary Airport is ranked to be one of the most dangerous airports in the world due to its wild position against the side of the mountain, gives it another reason to be in the news often. The tourists visiting here can see the mighty mountains surrounding the town and capture the beautiful images of the gigantic snow-capped mountains.
