Rasdhoo
Rasdhoo sees itself as a small, inhabited island in Northern Ari Atoll (also known as Alif Alif Atoll) of the Maldives. Being small in the total area, the island possesses a small yet clean and safe beach. It is about 30 meters in total length. Nearby this is the Madivaru island, which is uninhabited by nature. Although the island is small but is rich in its underwater life, which makes this place a heaven for the divers and nature lovers. There are varieties of creatures to spot here. The beautiful coral reef is the reason why divers can’t resist themselves from being here.
Rasdhoo Island is one of the foremost fashionable destinations among diving amateurs. The island is found in Alif Alif coral reef fifty-six kilometres west from Male. Rasdhoo may be a rather tiny island, it’s regarding five hundred metres long and around 600 meters wide. The population of Rasdhoo today is 1500 people. There are three sandbanks near these islands, where seagulls and other seabirds often fly. One of the sandbanks is located near Madivaru; you can get there on foot. The other two are over the lagoon near Madivaru Finolhu. The first one is about 1 km away from the Madivaru Finolhu, the other one is 500 meters away from the island. There is a very beautiful reef with lots of little fish near the second sandbank.
