Dhangethi

Dhangethi sees itself as an inhabitant island of the Alif Dhaal (aka Southern Ari) Atoll and is considered to be the third-largest populated island of Alif Dhaal Atoll. The people here are mostly into fishing, handicraft, tourism-related works, construction, boat building, and carpentry. It is a great place for water sports, scuba diving, speed boating, and other water activities. One may also find the schools and training centres for the same here. The island holds a Secretariat of A DH. Dhangethi Council, Dhangethi Health Centre, Dhangethi School, Dhangethi Court, Dhangethi Cultural Centre, Traditional Mosque, football ground & Dhangethi Operation Centre (DOC) by Dhiraagu. The clean and calm beach is loved by the tourists and they love spending time here exploring the beach, nearby village and the sea habitats of the area.
