Nahargarh Fort
Having been initially named as Sudarshangarh, Nahargarh once stood as one of the defense pillars for the city. The Aravalli Hills serve as its home as it stands magnificently on one of their edges. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh II and was probably named after the spirit of Prince Nahar Singh Bhomia.
The ‘abode of tigers’, Nahargarh is a popular tourist attraction with the breathtaking view it overlooks the city. The stone railing on the roof is an eminent detail that is worthy of being marveled at. Madhavendra Bhawan, Nahar Singh Bhomia’s temple, another temple to store the statue of the past rulers and Diwan-e-aam where the kings would spend time lending their ears to the ones in need.
The compound at the center of the fort is a subtly peaceful area where tourists often love to sit and chat, it provides a perfect rest point after having entered and adored the antique architecture.
The Nahargarh biological park adds to the attraction of the place by being another spot where you find to be perfectly calm. The greenery around and the mellow sounds of the birds serve in making this place a wonderful place to visit if you wish an escape from the maddening crowd.
The place provides activities like trekking as well as cycling along with other activities that you can do in a group. The place awaits you with all its little adventures, calm and beauty.
