Hangseshwari Temple
Hangseswari temple or Hanseswari temple is a sacred Hindu Temple in the Banshberia town of Hooghly. This ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali.
The holy temple is believed to be built at the beginning of the 19th century. The temple holds an idol of goddess Hangseshwari, a manifestation of Goddess Kali. The temple is one of the oldest and the largest temple of the city. It holds great faith in the hearts of the people and many mythological stories relating to it.
