Mangla Gauri Temple
The Mangla Gauri Temple in Gaya, Bihar, holds the prestige of being among the eighteen Maha Shakti Peeths. The holy shrine is dedicated to Shakti or the Mother Goddess. The miracles and the powers of this temple have been mentioned in Padma Purana, Vayu Purana, and Agni Purana and other scriptures and tantric works. The temple saw its construction back in the 15th century. the temple worships Mangalagauri as the Goddess of benevolence. Hindu mythology depicts that, on this place, the breast part of the goddess feel, when she burnt herself to death and so Shakti is worshiped here in the form of a breast, which a symbol of nourishment. The temple holds a sacred place in the hearts of the devotees. People come here with deep desires and wishes, which are said to be fulfilled by the goddess.
